FHA Form

An FHA form can either be ordered from HUD's Direct Distribution System or downloaded from the online resources provided by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. One can also call 1-800-767-7468 or search online to find all necessary forms and other documents in order to process an FHA-insured loan.

The various mortgage insurance programs available at the Federal Housing Administration follow certain guidelines as laid out in the various handbooks published by HUD. The entire loan process consists of several stages – application, inspection, appraisal, underwriting and closing; each with a set procedure that ensures full compliance of HUD guidelines.

The various FHA forms provide a vehicle to document all developments during every stage of the loan process. Moreover, these are available for free and one can also download these online from the HUD resources.

FHA Forms Online

It is easy to search FHA forms online using the resources available at HUDclips Library. You just need to visit the resource page of the website and click over an appropriate category of HUD forms, which have been categorized from HUD 1 through HUD 9 taking the first digit of the form numbers. You can also find separate categories for FHA, NPMA (National Pest Management Association) and SAMS (Single Family Acquired Asset Management Systems).

Most FHA forms for new construction begin with the digit 9, so you must visit the section for HUD 9 to find these. The forms like Warranty of Completion of Construction (HUD 92544) and Builder’s Certification of Plans, Specifications, and Site (HUD 92541) can be found here. There will be many more documents and it is possible to download any of these for free. Most forms are available in both PDF and Microsoft Word formats. However there may be some that are available in only one of these formats.
